The Stack is an experience as unique as the owner who brought it to life. Jade Berry is an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in art and fashion. The Stack, a retail apparel store, is Jade’s passion and dream, as well as the culmination of her background in design, styling, and merchandising.

But, The Stack represents so much more than an apparel storefront.  In the end, someone’s clothing and personal style is a reflection of their inner selves, a chance to show who they are to the world. Jade’s hope is to inspire a new generation with big dreams and hope for the future, to create a place for the young and the young at heart.

“Our personal style is a reflection of our self-confidence and how we feel about ourselves,” Jade says. “Through The Stack, I want to give a new generation the chance to believe in themselves. Our apparel is an opportunity for them to try something new, to express something new about their identity. Ultimately, this store is a way for me to support people in our community.”

Jade also believes that fashion and art are closely linked, if not one and the same, so she’s created space to also highlight the art of young creatives looking for a platform to showcase and even sell their work. It’s rare for a business owner to think about retail as a service to the community, but that’s exactly how Jade sees it. Beyond apparel and art, The Stack will also offer career preparedness courses and life-skills training to at-risk youth and young adults in the community of Chillicothe. Whether it’s through a new style or a new skill, The Stack is looking to sow seeds of encouragement, hope, and inspiration.

The Stack is now open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Mondays. The store is closed on Sundays.
