Sometimes a product is much more than a product. A simple object can carry with it a personal connection and even hope for the future. This is what Deidre Rowland, owner of Kindly, believes makes her business beautiful. Her shop is a curated boutique offering “all things good,” uplifting items and accessories to brighten anyone’s daily life.

Kindly is proof that something bright and meaningful can be born from life’s darkest moments. After her son’s sudden passing in 2019, Deidre took on a new perspective for her life. This new perspective helped her realize that she couldn’t wait to bring her dreams to life, and she needed to cherish every chance to make the world a better place. This was the catalyst for Kindly, and this spirit drives every interaction within the boutique.

“If you have the right perspective, there’s a great opportunity to change people’s lives through business. It’s not about a product or things, it’s about people. If I can do something to improve lives in Chillicothe or around the world, I’m going to do everything I can to make it happen. Life’s too short to not live it to the fullest.”

Deidre’s belief flows right into the products she offers through Kindly. Many of her products are locally crafted, providing revenue for local artisans and business owners. Outside of Chillicothe, however, she helps to support people in need around the world by offering products like jewelry and handbags that benefit women who’ve suffered abuse or hardships. Through Kindly, she’s making it simpler than ever to make the world a better place.

Kindly is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
